Replaced master Cylinder now can't shift in first gear?

Black is, essentially, the normal color. The hydraulic fluid absorbs water, water corrodes the inside of your lines, and the fluid picks up this corrosion and changes color. Did you flush the system when you installed the master? My first guess would be air in the system. You could likely...

    Help me identify this part!

Hint - for the temp gauge, make sure it's plugged into the sensor (and that it's the right sensor) on the thermostat housing.

    Overheating

There are small holes on the top and bottom of the water pump that will leak when the seals on the bearings inside start to go. That's where it should leak from if the pump is shot. It's tough to see the coolant leaking from the bottom one, but if you're creative with a flashlight and a...

    Thermostat Location and replacement.

No idea... temp ranges here go from -5 to 38, and I've never had one die on me. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that I replace it all the time, I guess. Just seems like such a cheap part that can have such expensive consequences - why would you *not* replace it annually?

That is absolutely stock? I've never seen a stock car dyno close to that. Are you sure there aren't a few extra tweaks in there?

Or boost controllers... you can build one of those for very little money. Ball and spring is the one you want, avoid the bleeder type.

Keep in mind, mechanical problems rarely just fix themselves. They may hide, for a while, but they'll keep coming back.

    Good buy?

Check the hoses under the hood. They should be nice and pliable, but I bet they are hard. If they are hard, there's going to be a bunch of cracks. Crawl underneath, or get it on a lift, see if it's leaking oil. On the interior, the driver's side outside seat bolster is usually toast, along...

You, sir, need to read some more before you continue posting. If you don't, everyone *will* start ignoring you. I include myself in that list. For the benefit of future searchers who find this thread... No, you cannot just upgrade the AFM. It flows about 25% more air for the same...

    Turbans instead of Helmets?

Screw the precedent. The fact that it's been done before doesn't mean it's right. Early pioneers to this continent handed out blankets infected with smallpox to the natives, but I don't see us doing that now. And he can have his healthcare for everything else - if he falls off his roof and...
