Isn't the 1UZ-FE AFM mod also used for the 2JZ-GE in the MKIV? If so, wouldn't that mean that the 2JZ-GE AFM would be compatible with the 7M-GTE? I've never looked into it, but it sounds plausible, no?

That's why I was saying it would depend which way I went. If I did decide to go to Vancouver first, I would drive down the coast to Cali first, then back through Vegas, SLC, then back to Alberta. If I wasn't going to do that whole loop, I'd just drive down to Vegas. Just depends on how much time...

The starter has 2 wires going to it AFAIK. One from the battery, one from the ignition switch, and then grounds itself to the engine block.

Toyota remanufactured alternator is the way to go. They may not be lifetime warranty, but I've had far more "lifetime warranty" alternators go on me than Toyota ones. I'd rather have one that I can rely on, than one that may die at any second, but I get a free replacement. Especially on...

This mod only saves space, it does not get in the way of anything.

Don't get a copy made. Open up the passenger door panel and look for the key code and get a NEW key made. I just did one for a guy with a 92 Supra today. :) (Canada's database goes back to 1994 only).
