Yeah seriously, I ordered a front clip too. I tried searching around to save some money, but in the end the clip is the best way. I can't wait to get it though. I got everything I need for 3gs plus shipping. Not bad I think.
I used a gasket kit from ebay a little while ago. It works okay. Just a note though is DON'T USE THE INJECTOR O-RINGS. They are smaller than the OEM ones. You will piss fuel all over one injector at a time. I pulled my fuel rail about 3 or 4 times. It was like a game of whack a mole. Just...
That intercooler you showed said front mount on it, but I wonder if is an actually designed for a front mount. It looks like a side mounted intercooler I have seen in some cars like turbo'd vw golfs and such.
Driftmotion sells thermostats for like 22 bucks. They sell the front and rear main seals too. They have timing belts, but you can go to a auto parts store and get one. I think it was something like a 88 izuzu trooper 4.6l (I think don't quote me, search the forum).
Means that if you got your motor out of an aristo and not a supra than you need to do the conversion since the sump will not clear your crossmember. I think it costs like 250 bucks to do it. Call aaron at driftmotion and he can help you. Be sure to bring your "to buy list" and he will hook...
1jz ecu and harness with a jumper harness (driftmotion makes them for about 100 bucks) would make the 2jz plug and play. 1jz ecu will get you to the dyno, but I would get it tuned quick though. Seems like you got alot of stuff and I don't know much about the safc2, but you may need something...

Your manifold looks awesome. Your welds look good. I don't know how you weld your aluminum, but it looks good. I weld aluminum decently. I use a Miller dialarc tig welder with 2% ceriated tungsten though. I think you can use the same shielding gas though. I used to use 100% Argon then...
Cornering well with a FWD is tough. My buddy can actually drift an old school prelude really well. Basically when entering the corner you downshift and bring your rpm to near peak and enter the corner turning your wheels with the turn and pressing the accelator enough so that wheels are...
Why not use an oxy-acetelyne torch. Not super hot just a regular orange flame should do the job. Make sure to have good set of gloves to handle the parts though.
I might show up if my turbo kit shows up this week. Waiting for my kit for like month now. Kinda sucks not having it running. My supra might get the ugly supra award right now. It's body is almost half way done and it is sporting the OSH flat black primer paint job.
Driftmotion.com is good. I got there intercooler for $235. Comes with mounting brackets. They have a bigger one that doesn't come with brackets and you have to relocate your stock oil cooler. They are spearco replicas. They work pretty good
Oh boy.... It almost a law of physics. You get what you put in. You spend under a thousand for a full turbo kit. You get okay performance for about 5-10k miles. Then you spend another 1g to get another one. Or you save your nickels until you hit at least 2gs and get a decent kit. Or you...
Here, here. I got a kid nowadays so my views have changed a little since my younger days. As a proud father I would gladly beat the hell of someone screwing with my kid. I'm the only one that screws with him. Speeding around the neighborhood is what gives us a bad rap. That's what makes...
From what I understand that charcoal canister is venting the fuel tank through the engines vacuum. I have heard of people bypassing it, but they get the smell of fuel inside there car. Most people get a charcoal canister from honda and use it since it's the size of your oil filter.
Just wondering how everyone seems to be installing there maft-pro. I bought the full package (boost, lc-1, speed density). I see a butt load of harnesses that need to go into the engine bay. Just wondering where the best place to run the wires is. Thanks alot.
Nothing is wrong with optima's. The only problem with them is that there dry cell batteries which means you have to watch how you charge them. You can't slap any charger on it or it may ruin the battery. You need a certain charger and charge rate if I remember correctly. I run a Autolite...
I think the walboro has the same properties as most electric pumps. Its output directly relates to the force making it do its work. So you can essentially use like 4 volts, but it won't much of pumping. There is the minimal amount of force (volts) necessary to make it accomplish it's task...
