Mike,
That post was spot on perfect!
I have and all that the big ass glass does is turn into tiny itty bitty pieces of glass that MIGHT cut you but that is about it. I rather take a few scratches then my head being severed from my body thanks!!
dude
did you read what I said? what part of "without" bracing did you miss or not understand? Every single racing organization states the bracing to avoid the lexan breaking into BIG peices.
as for ejection, if you got ejected you will either DIE from hitting the ground or die from...
THAT is the problem
is not the stregth. DOT gives a rats ass about that. It is about the SHARDS during a crash. Lexan will NOT break into tiny pieces like the tempered glass. What It WILL do is stay in BIG HUGE pieces meaning that without bracing and one of those PIECES come flying...
unfortunatly the delco unit is american and as such uses Nation Tapered Pipe threads. the bosch unit being European uses metric system.
the bosch unit requires a mount that looks like the stock O2 mount. It is composite. For some reason I can not find it now.. hmmmm
slight problem with this
don't ever go to a track with this setup as they will NOT let you run with a gas tank in the hatch without a firewall in between. this is CRITICAL and a HOOGE safety factor.
somewhere around 105 octane ;)
40 cents cheaper than 87octane water (incase you think 91 is bad).
Only issue is the leg work needed to get the car to use that. See my thread in the FAQ section.
