There is stock of the bolts/valves in California. They wouldn't be out of Japan.

I'd suggest restoring the leather using Leatherique products, or replacing the steering wheel (either with another stock one in better condition, or a new aftermarket one). Just my opinion.

I know there are some vehicles in the country that are newer than 15 years, and they're not being driven. Thus, most places bring in cars that can be driven, making it hard to find a 96+.

Most importers only bring in 15+ year old vehicles (as that is all you can legally register in Canada). Getting a newer vehicle will be harder, especially into the states. Do some searching though, there are plenty of Surfs and Land Cruisers in Canada now, so you should be able to find someone...
