Mine has 8 blades also. Unless the 62 year old lady (the original owner) that I bought the car from has a fascination with aftermarket parts, I still say it's stock. Trust me, and if you don't, put it on & run it. It's S T O C K.
I had one, but I ditched it a long time ago. I have seen not one difference with it off. I'd say that if you don't have one & you're having cooling problems, look elsewhere.
I run both MAFT & SAFCII. I haven't tuned the SAFC yet, too busy & I don't drive that much (only 600 miles so far this year). From what I understand, you zero out the MAFT & then tune the SAFC as normal. No rocket science involved.
No one makes on as far as I know, but there was interest raised in the 'make a wish' thread in hopes that Duane would make up a batch in carbon fiber. I haven't followed that thread much, so I can't say what happened with the idea.
Well, maybe I am. My end goal is 400-425 rwhp. I plan on getting a walbro, afpr & a 57 trim CT26 along with the wide band mentioned earlier. I figure that once I get it tuned, I should be right at my target. I can datalog & control my A/F with the wideband & SAFC. I just don't think I need...
Alright DRJ, give me the skinny...
I have MAFT with a 3" GM MAF, AVC-R & a SAFCII already & I plan on buying a wide band. Is there something more that the MAFT Pro can do that I can't with what I have? I thinking not, but am I missing something?
Congrats, I recommend changing you oil several times with regular oil. I'd change it after the first 20 miles, the next 50 miles & again after the next 100. This should help get all the contaminates out & avoid rod knock
That thread is the epitome of a typical Supraforums thread. It starts of with very good info, but ends up as a flame fest. I loathe that website for that very thread. I guess if you challenge yourself to read only the informative parts of a thread & disregard the pecker contests, you'd be ok....
