Yes... there are those 3 screws... interesting.
I think I have a spare set of tails kicking around here somewhere, maybe I'll take a closer look at them tomorrow.

Update: Will post pics of it in the car in the next day or so, I just need to take a couple, the car just needs the fuel pumps and lines installed, as well as the ECU & MAP sensor installed and I need to get a base map from Haltech as well, just to get it running before it goes to get tuned...
Pay attention to what forum section you are in, lol.
There are no gaskets on MKIV's, the taillights are completely external to the body, only the wiring runs into the car, and there is a grommet around it.

I'd buy a new plug from Toyota to make sure you have the right one, then see how tightly it fits, if it's still a bit loose, do something to seal the threads.
Jeff
Well, you have to understand that from the pictures posted in post 1 to the ones posted in post 2 was a time period of a couple months. When I started this thread the engine had valve covers on it.
Jeff
A W5x tranny is also an option. I highly doubt a V160 will fit in the Celica's tranny tunnel. An R154 will probably at least need some creative hammering done to clear it.

Here are two more pics I found from when Jason was building the exhaust manifold, before it was coated, etc. Not sure what wastegate is on in these pics, as it's not the same as the one that's on the car now, haha. Must have been another one he had at the shop before his arrived.
EDIT: It...
Well, the engine is in, and the clutch feels significantly lighter than I thought it would, from what I've heard of other people's twin plates. It has a nice smooth feel to it. It will be interesting to see how it is to actually drive with it, but with sprung hubs and the nice pedal feel it...
Very few Tomei pistons actually have the cooling channels, their 2JZ pistons are not one of them. They only offer the C/C on the SR20 and RB26 pistons.
I think the only 2JZ pistons I've seen that actually have cooling channels are the stock pistons.
Jeff
Yeah, most 2JZ's you see have excessively large turbos, IMO. This thing isn't going to make 1400hp. It should be adequate for the goals, but may run out of steam a little short, so perhaps a larger turbo may need to be swapped in. We'll know more once it's tuned, etc.
