here's a couple of shots of what ive been doing lately on my 88.
kinda like this one..
tring to decide weather or not i can make this into a clean install.. my friend thinks there is some could tray that i could buy..
i currently dont have a drill bit big enough to do...
alright that makes some sense. i'll see what i can do about it today..
does an n/a have the same part? i still have an n/a manifold would swaping it out help?
alright i'll pull out my ohm meter tomorrow and test it, do i have to pull it off to test it?
i do hear clicking when my motor dies or shuts off, and it says to look for that..
alright , well im not sure what my car's problem is, but i want to get some feed back ..
my car wont start when the throttle is completly closed, witht he throttle linkage off. i would think the car should run with the throttle completly closed... all my other cars do... and my i hook up...
for some reason when i have my car idling. with no afm and no maft pro hooked up she idles fine, well since i dont have a throttle linkage, i have to prop the throttle plate open with a thick zip tie to keep her running.
i hooked up the maft pro and she starts to idle funny like rev, drop...

well today i finally got to hear my beast fire up,
i had to adjust the cps, it was about 1/4 turn off i aligned the wrong mark when i put it all back together after the hg'..
had to plug up a couple of vacume lines that go into the arcodian hose.. just...
alright you guys rock pretty quick replies too!
while, i work tonight but tomorrow i will be tackling my starting problem..
im gona pull the cps and make sure it's aligned right.
i'll check the injector plugs.
and i have the ecu, but it has not been in a running vehical for 2+months...
well my question is can you start a motor with no afm and a ecu that has been shipped and unplugged from a car for awhile?
i got what seemed like a sputter but didn't continue to fire, so could it be the injector clips are on wrong or the cps being out of tune?
cant wait to see the new video, the last one was out standing. so this one shouldn't let me down either.. mind shooting some footage of a/f tracking using the pro maybe the timming while doing a pull? ..
it's about 5 1/2-6 inches long an inch thick or so and 2 1/2-3 inches tall..
i have one in my hand right now :biglaugh:
i figured once it's tuned in the glove box it goes :aigo:
dang total luck...
reminds me of last week... i was taking a friend home and we where entering a tunnel at the 205/ 84 split to go to gresham and it was a lil wet.. travel around 60 or so i stuck her in third and side stepped the clutch as we entered. no one behind us and had about 6 car...
geez well iw as going to use the 89 style water temp sensor but i broke the lock on it on accident so im gona swap a connector from my n/a harnes and use the n/a sensor and hope it works.. !
geez. i wouldn't leave mine off if i was going into a store or friends house..
again neibor hood dependent..
but where i leave it can be sunny and you go inside and come back out and it's raining... good old rainy state washington! it's rain for like 33 days strait just about the news...
alright well thats good to hear, i already changed one sensor for the watet temp, would have gotten the other but i have a nasty connector to deal with... and i figured if i could use the 89 style why not?
ive already changed the oil presure sender with a new oem unit..
