Sooo...IJ,,, hahaha it looks like the small side is 2.25 and the bigger is 3" ... so it is a 50 trim... and its 1/2 inch bigger than the stock wheel size..
someone sent me a PM and said he got the same upgrade from the same company that i got mine from (PT) and he thought it was 17% more air...
i think thats called "surge" or air trying to be forced back out through the turbo,, my first turbo did that just before it died... lol
im looking for a good 3" hi flow cat...
book time is about 10-12 hrs at shop rates(1000-1500$)+-,
a good supra owner can do it in about 5 hrs labor plus parts... i did mine for about the cost of the head set ($250)and to have my valves lapped and valve guide seals installed and valves adjusted.(60$).... and the head surfaced...
hahha no prob, i just changed my sig to read as upgraded ct26, covers all bases... dont want to hurt ya.. thanks though again.. .:biglaugh: ..
also aye mate: that pic i posted in here two pages back..is where you want to measure, i think... hahhaha
yeah thats what i tried to say but it got complicated..
ninja, i dont think the back is any smaller then they would have had to add compressor housing matirial? instead they remove alot inside all the way to the big side..
BIG EDIT HERE>> dis reguard the above statement as i was not...
what your saying sounds to me like: IF i was to keep the same trim with the small dia being half inch larger than stock , the back size of the wheel would have to be half inch smaller and still be a 50. trim i think i got it..
ya im trying to understand ya. but im just slow i guess, sorry, ill pull it apart tomarrow just for the hell of in now.. the front diameter is the IN side, back larger diam, is the Ex side of the compressor wheel. i still missing something, gotta re ead here.. ahhahhaha
man i feel bad now, ive made several post to ppl saying i love my 50trim lol
sry ppl. yes, it was bigger than i expected when i installed it. It went from being able to break the tires loose at 30mph in second in rain to 50+mph in 3rd with just the gas pedal...
edited new 235x55x16'...
didnt see this last part before. i was told there was no point in changing the exhaust side of the turbo till like 450-500hp so that exhaust wheel was left alone, they used my old shaft... does that help? hahhaha :dunno:
i took a grinder and ground some marks into the top of the bend going into the cat and cut my lines in half with a bandsaw or sawsall so i know where to reweld it. smashed the ozone saver out of it, and sleeved it with 2.5 inch pipe, may not be needed,(i just did it to make it flow better)...
ya i may try and pop the c ring off in the daylight.. might be able to do it on the car lol... from eyeballing this extra stock wheel in my hands id say the back side is definatley bigger lol.. man, you had me worried there for a bit hahhaha
well good, like i said in my other post, i just told them my mods and said i was aiming for no more than 350hp but yet i want it reliable too.., not to big it breaks,, so i dunno what i got?
ninja thanks again IJ...
"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to IJ. again".
ok i pulled the accordian and best guess with a caliper, kinda had to eyeball it due to ps pump. front small diameter is.roughly 2.25 inches.. cant get the bigger dia. without pulling housing.. and stock small dia. is 1.75 inches.. whew... ahhahaha
i could see that the housing was re-machined out to accept the larger wheel. and it sure made a huge difference in boost? seeing if i can find any paperwork on it now..
edited: :dunno: all i found is the reciept and it says upgrade/rebuild special lol
ill call monday..
IJ, my 50-trim? dam at least i thought it was 50.. anyways it is supposed to flow 40% more air that the stock trim... and the stock is 49? did i get ripped off lol
