Building a Widebody Quicksilver JZA80 (Now with New pics!)

OS sells many types of triple plate, if this one is too difficult to drive on the street, we can always look at another choice, but the price was right, so we'll see how it goes. :) Actually had an Aeromotive A1000 pump from my brother's old 300ZX, however the Denso setup is high-flowing...

Building a Widebody Quicksilver JZA80 (Now with New pics!)

So the Defi gauges came in, as did a couple other things for the car. Looking forward to the gauges, as my brother had some other temporary gauges in there, that were terrible. The Defi ones seem like such quality pieces, really like them. To handle the higher power from the upgraded engine...

    1.5JZ with a 2JZGE bottom end?

All 2JZ's have the same crank, GE or GTE. Non-VVT-i 2JZ-GE's have the same rods as the 2JZ-GTE, VVT-i GE engines have thinner rods. 2JZ-GE blocks do not have squirters, and the oil gallery on the exhaust side is not drilled for oil. Other than that the blocks are identical. Jeff

    call me crazy

Meh, they work in a pinch. Other than them being small, they are relatively comfortable. I used to be small enough to fit back there, I liked it. Now that I am no longer 14, I don't fit as well, but I still think they're comfortable, you just need to be the right size to use them. Jeff

Building a Widebody Quicksilver JZA80 (Now with New pics!)

Update on the car, bodywork is underway, and some other things have been getting worked on. Custom aluminum gas tank with baffles, allow for better fitment of the pump setup, and more room for the large lines that are needed for feed and return: Triple pump setup: TRD Widebody, vents...

    The "which o2 sensor" thread

The 87-90 7M-GTE one will work, however the connector is different than the 1JZ. The 91-92 7M-GTE uses the same connector and is direct plug 'n play. 89465-29435 - 90-93 1JZ-GTE O2 Sensor (Original, not available in North America) 89465-19455 - 91-92 7M-GTE O2 Sensor 234-3052 - Denso 91-92 Plug...

    R12 used with a R134 A/C pump?

While I am not sure about actually using R12 with an R134 compressor, why not use an earlier 1JZ/2JZ compressor designed for R12 (like from the JZZ30 or JZA70). Jeff

Shaftmasters 1 piece driveshaft too long ?

Late to the party, but confirming what was already said... there was never any year of any MK3 where the M/T and A/T shafts are the same length. Jeff

can you remove the factory tint on the windows?

Yeah what I called the blue/grey is actually not listed as any colour by Toyota, and according to others it tends to have a green tint to it. There is only one type of glass listed for Australia/Europe, and that is the "uncoloured/green" one. I think it depends what angle you look at it. Jeff

can you remove the factory tint on the windows?

As far as I'm aware, there is the bluish/gray tint, bronze tint, and gray tint for the factory glass, the tint is always in the glass and non-removable. Which colour you have depends on the year and interior colour. That being said, in North America only the Bluish/gray and Bronze tints were...

Wow, didnt know it was that serious in highschool.....

Agreed. You just need to start talking to people about it. Everyone and anyone that will listen. If you have to, contact the school board, etc. above the school's level. Or, just do nothing and let it go. Up to you. Jeff
