IIRC, JE calls for .005". I used .0045" (or .0005" less than JE what specified). Please double check with JE, because I could be wrong. I called them & asked, which they were glad to provide.
It won't damage anything, but your fuel economy will suck. The ECU pulls timing in effort to enrich the mixture, therefore reducing the percieved detonation. You will only run rich, no damage.
Your first problem is caused by your second problem. If your harness is plugged into you knock sensors, do the SOGI rewire. The hesitation under boost is because your ECU is pulling timing due to the code 52.
The rewire doesn't cost that much & isn't that hard to do. Time consuming though...
Jake,
Just drive the car for a little bit with the built in fuel map, then drive it down to Orlando to finish your break in period & have them tune it. Stay out of the boost & you should be fine. Of course, verify that with Darian first....
read this thread. I bought it from Aaron, worth every penny. The same stuff cost $5 less locally, but I would have had to drive all over Gods creation to get everything. I highly recommend buying his kit....
Thanks Group.
I'm stopping for the day. I mocked up the hot side  . I can't do much more until I get me freeze plugs put in. :nono: Oh well, I'll get some from my local Toyota dealership on Monday.
I'm quite pleased, to say the least....
550's & fuel rail installed, mocked up (I couldn't wait :icon_razz ) Ron Ramirez short runner FFI.
Edit:
I now have the front end pretty much assembled....
