looks good so far, why did u decide to to ge instead of keeping the gte?

ive noticed that there is play in the 5th gear shift shaft, is this normal? the other ones dont have any play. im hoping i dont have to rebuild it, its only got 88k on it.

hey, so when i drive my car my tranny would pop out of 5th gear when it didnt have any load on it (not accel or deccel). i thought it would be the shift fork but after pulling apart the tranny, the shift fork is fine. what else could be the cause? thanks, Matt

i weld antenna's at work with this setup, it seems to work ok, it hard running good beads tho (im just spot welding the antennas), i do agree, tig is the machine for the job, i really want one at home :naughty:

welcome! putting a 2j in there is going to be crazy! my friend has a mkII with a 400hp 7m and it doesnt hook well til 3rd. traction is a major problem in high hp mkII. Get some good tires (even tho they wont last long:evil2:)
