I'm planning on running a Mines tuned 7mgte ecu, Hks vpc, with apex-i safc2. Hopefully that ecu doesn't have anything to do with emissions as I bought it from RHDJapan a long time ago and just haven't had the time to run it.
Well i'm deleting cause:
1. I'm going ffim and no hook-up
2. Less ugly soot in the intake manifold
3. Yes toyota put it there for a reason, but only of U.S. emissions. Japanese 7m don't have such a thing.
Thanks for all the input, i'll be going to O'reilly and pick up a small block chevy...
Which small block chevy header gaskets did you guys buy? I might end up doing the same thing cause i don't want this thing to come back and haunt me down the road cause i half asses it.
You sure about this one? Cause when i was a younger noob and used it on where the manifold meets the turbo it started leaking like crazy. Seeing as this gasket is only inches away from where the manifold meets the turbo it should see about the same amount of boost.
Actually you're wrong, Japan blocks it in back of the head like shown in the photo with a metal plate and OEM Gasket. I have a jdm 7mgte motor in my car now that has it.
I'm currently going to delete the egr system on my new motor and was wondering who here makes a gasket for the plate in back of the head? Cause as of right now i'm using the plate and Hondabond HT cause my stone engine gasket set didn't come with that gasket. Would that be strong enough for...
Yeah in your case its clearly not even the shops fault your head had porosity when it was cast many decades ago. He was just the luck individual to shave it and expose what's already there. Consider yourself lucky the guy was nice enough to offer and replace your head with a better one.
How much did you pay for your momo shift knob? Seems like the one on Yahoo japan auction is selling for $375USD and thats WITHOUT shipping to U.S. also.
Just wanted to revival this thread to post some findings on yahoo japan auction. Pages would best be viewed using "google chrome" as your browser so it translate the page for you.
Supposedly this is a Group A MA70 LSD. You be the judge.

Yes the two shafts are alot different. Like mentioned above the r-154 has the thicker sections in the center of the shaft and the w58 is just skinny straight through the whole shaft. Also if i'm not mistaken the spline counts are different also.
