Well I can chime in a give you some tips on getting a single installed on a 1J.

I have been searching and haven't turned up anything. Does anyone know what needs to be machined down on the 2J cams and how much to be installed into a 1J? Thanks in advance!
Is the car not cranking at all? Cause I see your problem in the second picture. That is the clutch switch. Take out the blues wires and connect the connectors back together.
Ok here is some updates.
I know have a mechanical actuator working. Well here some pictures and even video!
Its not done yet. Still have to do some more welding and cleaning up to make sure it won't break. Oh and it needs some ceramic paint.
Coolant: Toyota red
Rear Diff: Royal Purple 75w90
Tranny: Mobil 1 75w90
Oil: Shell Rotella T 5w40
Power Steering: ATF
Brake/Clutch: Dot 4
