couple prolly noobish questions. Any help??

Ok. I just want to remove pretty much anything I can so my engine isnt cluttered with hoses and a bunch of crap I really dont need, and possibly things that can break, and or leak. That is part of my build is to clean up alot of the things that dont need to be there, and reduce as much of the...

couple prolly noobish questions. Any help??

Also please explain how using the stock ECU with the VCV and EGR removed would cause a problem? Because all I can see is that a CEL would come up, and I can live with that. Im not worried about CEL. Its an Exhaust gas Recirculation valve. So if exhaust gasses are not passed from the block to...

couple prolly noobish questions. Any help??

Well I am trying to avoid a huge amount of self enduced problems, thus the reason I am asking the questions now before I go and screw something up. And I understand that the Maft is a piggyback system that feeds false signals to the ECU, but after looking thru the threads, I have seen alot of...

couple prolly noobish questions. Any help??

Oh so here are the prolly simple and stupid questions i pose. The charcoal canister, Is it going to be needed after I put an EGR block off in place? I know the vaccume tubes go back to the fire wall but dont know exactly where the line goes after that. Im trying to research what can go and...

Replaced HG, Now I have Low Compression!

Time i can understand, and I understand tight budgets too, but at the same time, if you own the car, you should really be able to do the correct repairs, and do them the right way. I do agree with you that either he degreed his cams wrong, or he has his valve lash wrong. Maybe the wrong shims...

Low Compression in 1 and 6

Well being that those two are commonly the ones that wear the most, I would do a leak down test and find out if you are looking at rings or not. Also look down into the cylinder bores and see if there is any oil or coolant in there. There are tons of things that could cause that, but...

Replaced HG, Now I have Low Compression!

Umm saying a tight budget is why u didnt use a MHG is kinda a sad excuse. Cause u can get a 1.2mm from HPF for like 100 bux with shipping. So that doesnt seem like a legit reason not to do things correctly. Just my 2 cents.

    Alt relocation BRKT cad file???

Does anyone have a cad file for the alt relocation bracket? I am doing a build on my 7m starting in a few weeks and want to drop the alt down in place of my AC pump, because its going to be a summer only car, and Im gutting the heating and AC parts of the car, and want to clean up the upper...

SLOW 7M'S Build with lots of custom parts.

Well it really depends, cause u can use where the front and rear sub frames bolt to the chassis as lift points just as easily. Put your jack right under the bolts and lift, Or life from the diff. But that is my opinion. If you want points in the middle of the car to lift the whole side at one...

JT2MA71's Build. Dyno video on post # 1191

I just read thru this whole thread (started 2 hours ago) and have to say its a beautiful car. Now a question i'd love to know is why didnt you wrap your headers and keep that heat away from the rest of your engine? And what the hell is that huge air filter next to your cone on the turbo. It...

Out of ideas: The dreaded Toyota "Click" when attempting to start.

There are 3 ways to fix this problem. You can either rewire the entire ignition system, Run a push button, or run a relay. Take the clip wire off the starter, run that to the relay, and run a hot line from your battery to the relay, and another hot line from the relay to where the clip wire...

    turbo question

Honestly I have heard that the stock CT26 is prone to fail after about 12-14psi of boost. I would personally get a better turbo for reliability purposes. But I hope you are building the motor to handle it. I have a friend that has a 550whp stock bottom end GTE car. But he has a pretty sick...
