jz electronics are interchangeable.. so techincally you can swap a 2jz head on my 1.5jz easy (even though the intake and exhaust bolt patterns are different and will need new manifolds)
I guess i can just say I have 2 2jz mkiiis now ;)
ah, i forgot about the lsx series. I'm not familiar with those, but i assume since you said it you can swap ls7 heads on a ls1?
interesting, when I was looking at mr2/ alltracs I never saw it called a 5sgte
v8s are usually classified with engine size. But they're all in the same class, SBC or SBF or whatever.. if toyota engines were classified with size I would agree completely.
With a stroker 3sgte you use a 5sfe block & crank, but its not a 5s

yes you have to swap the 7m compressior's top plate onto the JZ compressor though. And you will have to grind down the PS bracket to gain the space needed to bolt everything up
Yes, thats pretty much a 6m. It has a different head, and a different classification
There is no difference between the 1j and 2j blocks EXCEPT 86mm stroke vs 72 or whatever the 1js is. Other then that they are the same. Well actually no they're ~ and inch taller so they're actually heavier...
yea, they're all expensive.. I make my own. Or go you a local shop that can weld and they'll build you a full turbo back for the price of the premade ones.
fwiw for 500$ i have a full vbanded 4" SS exhaust...
insurance rates I doubt are different. I would be EXTREMELY Supprized if they are. Hell there is no difference on insurance from a mkiv to IS300 to mkiii with my company.
