2jz map sensor has 2 bolts and bolts directly to the intake manifold plenium.

you broke your map sensor.. (if 2jz) edit: on the bottom like under the runners? if so might be a VSV.. are there (or were) 2 vacuum nipples on it?

I've only heard of 1 engine that failed from a rev related issue.. A local chick who bounched off the revlimter for liek 5 seconds (because spinning, revlimiter was 8600) on a new shortblock (they've been known to have bearing issues).. she was making ~ 700whp as well

You're joking right? But its true. It is sort of an underdog, but strictly performance, there are several other cars that would be a much better option to beef up. The mkiii is a cult car, you like or you dont. Its not a fad car where everyone does one up cause they're the most pupular around...

The tune isn't generation related. All jza70 ecus are the same. The soarer and jzx90 (ithink) ecus switch over they received a better timing controlling system I assume. Similar to the mkivs which is much better then the jza70s.

reving it that high shouldn't of been an issue (unless the engine was loose to begin with). I ran mine up to 7k all the time bouncing off the limiter in 1st and no issues.. People have run the stock 2js to 8k+ without issues. GL on the rebuild

toyota fipg :bigthumb: Compression ratio doesn't play that much into getting the right gasket as keeping the cam timing on i would think.. If anything a bit high compression would be more benifitial..

jwcatto went 10.60s i think.. in his 1.5 th400 car....... i think that 2jz mkiii went 10s or 9s too the mkiii will never get the attention a mkiv will. Its newer and more popular, and better in nearly every way.

I think its the video of a mkiv racing a busa top end.. it revs to like 8k in 6th or something and on the way home is knocking bad.. at least a video i know of a mkiv w/ rod knock sucks about your luck :(
