I've ordered several things from Greg Pickett and yes, it does take a lot of time to get it in ;). The best thing do is bitch about how long it's taking and he will start throwing in shit for free, worked twice for me ;).
I ordered a full intercooler harpipe kit, megamouth downpipe, and test...
Not that long! I've got to at least sit in mine and pretend I'm driving it ONCE a week ;).
My cousin though.... His has been sitting for months, probably around 6 or so...
^+1 for a good link ;). Bookmarked! I'm glad you did that cuz I thought HPF's had the best shifter bushing out so far.... So these get rid of a lot of slop huh?
I don't think age accounts to much when it comes to owning a supra. A 20 year old person can have more experience with said car than someone 5-10 years their senior.
But then again, a 52 year old can enjoy the car just as much as the 16 year olds can!
Dude, I got first dibs on the tail lights if they're in pretty shape ;). Hit me up when/if you buy it... Maybe the stock shifter too (if I don't have another one by then).
What kinda exhaust does it have? Did the guy tell you?
^ Sorry 'bout that, ;) I automatically assumed MAFT Pro when I was skimming, no big deal anyways.
That car is still worth a lot more than 600 whether he keeps it and rebuilds it, or parts it out. It would be stupid to pass up a good deal like that supra. If I lived closer to it, I'd be over...
I totally agree here. The MAF system is pretty much worth the 600 by itself. If the exhaust is name brand stuff and not fabbed up, another 300-500. Engine- 100-300. Turbo (if works) 50-150. Rear end....? Tranny...?
There's a lot of money to be had there, plus you could probably use some of...
A stock Supra t-stat is suppost to be 190 degrees. If you're getting a new one when you do the new hg (might as well, just to be safe ;)) don't get anything lower than 180 degrees. The engine does need to be warm enough to run properly.
If you're planning on going with fuel mods in the near future or are going to up the boost, you might as get it FIRST that way you know what's going on with you engine before and after you do those mods. Call it preventative maintenance if you want ;).
Are these clear, or are they like a metalic/reflective look? I've seen someone with tail lights that looked like that and though they looked good, but only on certain color supras.
In the second picture, the yellow connector right below your hand.... Is it hooked up to anything on the other side? It kinda looks like the white part you're holding in your hand fits right in there, but I can't exactly tell from the pic if the yellow thing is plugged in....:dunno: It could...
