Rich is always better than lean ;). These cars run on the rich side from the factory anyways. So If you don't have any major mods or big boost you should be fine.
^Correct. Theoretically saying (because I don't know the exact math involved in this) If someone wants 9.0 comp piston in their car, but the closest brand only offers 9.5, then they can use a thicker HG to lower it somewhat.

It's completely fine that some people have good experiences with the turbo, it's just that there are those who have bad experiences too. Granted everyone's going to have good and/or bad experienes with any brand Turbo (Sound Performances issues with oiling for example ;)). No single brand is...
I've already read up on people's experiences with the turbo's. These coments came from people who ACTUALLY bought it. Why would I waste my money on something someone else has already had a bad experience with? ;)
Welcome to the club ;). Time for a rebuild! That's the best part of a BHG. Go ahead and park it, drain the oil and antifreeze (may want to put fresh coolant in it for the winter ;).
