I've just loosened the tension to the last threads on the 2 bolts, it gives enough slack in the belt to take it of and put it back on. then tighten up when finished and you're good to go
I doubt its the boost controller. I say its the ecu retarding timing from too much timing when pulling all the fuel needed for 550s on the stock twins.
My buddy had a similar setup (but also 2jz cams) and had similar problems wiht 550s on the stock twins. Only dynoed 308whp @ 18 psi on a dynojet (11.2-11.5 a/f).. that night he popped the motor trying to do a top speed run...
We got a FPR (and a new shortblock) and dropped the fuel pressure...
You will need to add pins in the ecu connector for the Maf plug to wire the Map-ecu, other then that will work fine. I am planning on doing this with my next 2jz swap.
