Yup, We're doing this on my buddys car (thereaper). Also my other buddy (not on this board) is going to a 2jz ecu, but staying with the 1jz harness (using an adapter harness for the ecus)

Not really hard. If you know how to locate pins in the harness and solder you should be good. They're fairly straight forward. Yea the 1jz-gte.us is all I ever used on wiring 1jzs.

1.5 is fine, no drilling or anything needed. several are running around with 1.5jz without issues. stock is a 1.2mm gasket iirc.. stock would be fine. no need to spend extra money on a thicker. higher compression has its benifits ;)

Pull some fuel with the AFC, the stock 1jz all ready runs RICH w/ the stock injectors in the upper range then add on the 440s, its choking out on fuel

you need an afc for the 440s

In FL, you get a bill of sale (or title) signed by the owner, proof of insurance and get a temp tag.

any codes? I had a supra with a broken water temp sensor that did the same thing, was hard to start when cold. after warm, it ran decent though.

you'll have a hard time making over 400 with a ct26, the exhaust side is just too small

I dont think you'll be able to fix it, a design flaw imo.. put the bov on the ic pipes should help
