100-110 traps is normal for a bpu 1j..
the weak link is the twins really.. as far as things to do before the swap.... have the ecu looked over and make sure nothing is wrong with it before putting it in. Other then that 1js are damn good engines.. Fun to drive too

B1-22 should be B1-19 (for an 88)
also C4-1 needs to be spliced to B1-9 (ik1-e3) as well. I had no power at +B at the diag port or o2 sensor (got o2 code). B1-9 is the Fuel pump power too so no fuel. Will fix today and should be fired up.. Ik1-e3 powers the...

Partially installed.. tried firing it, no go! I messed up on the wiring! doh! Need to jump power to this one pin, then should be good to go!

because you all ready have a bunch of parts for the 1jz, single manifold, cams, etc 2jz bottom end w/ the 1jz head is much cheaper then full 2jz

I've had toyota pads before and they dusted quiet a bit.. Of course it could of been my old cards slotted and drilled rotors as well.
I've heard good things about ceramic before.. Do they make a rear pad? I can only find a front pad online.
Advanced autoparts has a raybestos ceramic...
I need to get new brakes for my sup.. but not sure what pads to get. Its a daily driver, stock. I want something that works well, but has very low dust (i'm lazy and hardly wash my car). What do you all recommend

any idea what your a/f was durring the runs? could be where some of your hp is hiding.
was it a stock cat or a highflow? a stock cat will eat a lot of power, a highflow less, but still a bit of hp
