details on the car? year mileage will help
5k seems ok though. I would try to get a stock mkiii + what you spent on the paintjob back. If its under the 5k, take it and run. You will have all your parts from the other car.
hmm.. sean this vs the carbonetic twin, what would be better for a 750whp 2jz with fairly heavy drag use (probably more like 600whp drag racing, but maybe a few times full tilt c16 30 psi)
i think people have done the recessed headlights (like the 300zx) but it gives very poor road coverage, because there isn't a good angle to shine on the road.. just straight out infront.
for your starting issue.. add 15-20% fuel across the board on your EMS maps to compinsate for the extra displacment.. it probably will start up and drive semi normal then
If you cant change your maps.. crank your fuel pressure up to like 55 psi (instead of the 43) and itll probably help...
there is very slight knock that you'd never hear, but the knock sensor does..
Its just an extra tool to help get the job done.. do you need it, no.... is it usefull, imo yes..
The safety feature is nice, but yea dont rely on it for a tune. But helps keep your engine healty. Logging the knock sensors is a great tool though. You can easily street tune your setup with it.
