It's an ester based synthetic oil with a very thin weight at idle to prolong bearing life at startup (where the oil plays it's most important role, well, second most important ;)) and a decent add pack too. I also use 1 quart of RS530 racing oil (IIRC it's group IV) for the add pack in it also...
