When using the bleed through method, about how much brake fluid is required? I searched the TSRM for the capacity, but to no avail. I have a qt of Castrol GTLMA but it seems I may need at least 2 quarts. How much does the system hold? Thanks!

Well I am only guessing here, but I imagine there's a reason your old compressor seized up. What's to stop the new one from doing the exact same thing? You could try installing a new compressor, but I'd think there's is more to your system's woes than a bad compressor.

Would you really spend all that time/energy/money to simply save a few dollars on gas? If you get an extra 5 mpg that doesn't seem to offset the cost of a piggyback. Unless you already have one...

I would follow the tsrm guidelines on changing the fluid. Use some ATF with seal conditioners like Johnathan1 did and prey that that fixes it. If not then you should replace whatever is leaking like crazy. If you don't own a TSRM, well shame on you(you should go buy one at a Toyota dealer)...

Just went to Pep Boys here and they had a full shelf of GC. I believe it was 6.49 a piece. It seems like places are starting to carry GC on a regular basis.

Actually, I dont recall seeing a single pic of a GE with a turbo... ever. Someone has to have a turbo GE around here.
