I hope your struts blow before you can save up to buy the coilovers.
I hope that didn't sound *too* mean.
When you cut the length of the springs, you change the spring rate and the dynamics of the suspension system.
IMO, changing your suspension for "looks" and completely disregarding...
CRE's is tough to beat for the N/A's. I'm lucky enough to see it in person on a semi-irregular basis and even get behind the wheel and feel the the potential of these motors.
Kinda makes me sad though, because then I have to jump back into my stock 7M and puts around.
Wasn't there an N/A...
OMFG. What happened supramacist?
Wow. just... wow. :nono:
Anywho.... Do the 7M's gain much from removing the belt driven fan and replacing it with an electric? My roommate was talking about doing it to his e36 and I guess they gain 5hp from getting rid of the fan. Not sure how accurate the...
Though I think this site gets most its worth from the dozen or so members that REALLY know their shit, I do agree sometimes that beginners gets trampled over *learning* points by those same members.
This site is more helpful than any I've visited, but there are definitely more cranky veterans...
This was a hard page to read because of both the words within and the physical structure of the posts.
CustomOHioSupra: Please stop it. Use some sort of logical spacing to your posts. I spent more time scrolling through your "enter hits" than reading through actual info. There is a "quote"...
250 hp wont happen in an N/A without a built motor with high compression. So when you say "what will it take an N/A to get there?... the answer is.... nothing.
As far as being consistent and reliable, thats ALL I've been aiming for with this car. :) I wanted a semi-sporty, reliable cruising car...
I'd hold onto it and learn like crazy on these forums. :D
A good-running N/A for 3 grand isn't that bad a deal, IMO. Out here in CO, I had one hell of a time tracking down anything decent for under 3 grand.
If you just replaced brakes, plug wires, alternator and it has good paint you're off to...
I think I've said this at least 3 times in this thread, but its worth saying at least a few more times:
You're build is simply amazing.
I cannot wait to see this masterpiece finished. :)
I'd like to dyno mine a few times during small performance upgrades and see if anything really changes.
I drive an N/A and I'm comfortable with that for now so no need to impress the people working the dyno.
Ya, that caught me off gaurd too. I had always thought the GE was 87 or 89 at sea level, 85 or 87 at high altitude. My owners manual proved me wrong the other day.
How many N/A people actually only use 91 or higher?
