Ya. Given that the helicoil kit is labeled for the 7/16-14 and thats exactly what the bolt is and thats what size the coils are, I'm going with the tap being wrong.
Lol, no. The coil will form to the thread pattern of the tap. So when you tap a 13 hole, the coil becomes a 13 thread as well...
Easily one of the sexiest cars I've seen on this site. So much of that car looked ABSOLUTELY perfect and flawless.
After owning that I imagine it'd tough to start all over again. :( Although you really should.
Ya, I agree this thread should have more posts than anything else around here today.
Nearly brings a tear to my eye thinking of the dedication and sacrifice of all those who have fought/are fighting/will fight to preserve this nation (and others).
I very sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU! from...
I am familiar with the process. I did everything correctly, BUT the tap I used was the wrong size. I am not sure what the correct size should be.
True. Although my problem is not with DM. Unlike some people I realize and accept that it was MY fault for not checking the tap like I should...
Doesn't really help because it does not list the tap size.
Ya, in retrospect, metric would have been MUCH easier to pair up taps/studs.

Can you please tell me what size tap you have? What brand is it? Is it desco...

THE TAP IN THE KIT WAS A 13 NC AND THE BOLTS WERE 14!!!
Now...
Lol, since I'm one of the 3, I'm definitely sneaking a cell phone pic of it next time we meet up. :D It'll just be more motivation for CRE to get that thing painted.:naughty:
In all honesty, when it's clean, it's not half bad at all.
Ya, I'd say if it happens all the time (coasting, accel, decel) then it may be a wheel that needs balancing. Have discount tire take a look at it. They do most that small stuff for free to gain your loyalty as a customer. I know they at least do free flat repair/patches and rotations whether you...
Water gets pushed forward in front of your car, air resistance slows it dramatically, car maintains speed, water hits windsheild.
I used to wonder too.
Get kyb shocks (~35/shock) through tirerack.
Get any of the after market springs from the vendors here. :)
About all the springs are 200-250. Eibachs/whiteline/ST.. etc.
Don't buy from ebay while there are great vendors here to support.
