Well here's a quick and dirty chop of someone else's beautiful mk3:
Original:
I really like it. Looks about how I imagined it. I would maybe make the red stripe a tiny bit bolder/wider.
What do you think? Sorry for the thread jack, OP.
**Second thought. The red striping would not be any...
Looks good, but the white package needs its wheels back!!! :D
I saw a white package in person for the first time today and good god are those thing sexy.
Mine just arrived and it seems like a very basic, flimsy piece for 120. If anyone likes, I can make TONS of measurements and attempt to make a few engineering drawings of it.
Let me know if anyone would like that/benefit from it.
I think a small white strip and a red strip would look BAD. ASS. The moulding would have to remain mostly black, like Vas's, but with an additional red strip. Kinda like pinstriping for the mouldings.
It looks great in my head, I'll have to photoshop a mockup before actually doing that.
If they have the vents that would allow any air flow then maybe...
But I hear the ones Duane made didn't really do anything for flow anyways. :dunno:
I would not be interested in them for the carbon fiber look, but for functionality. Make it functional and you'll have plenty of prospective buyers.
Which terminals? The Fosgate ones above? How don't they work? Inconsistent connection? Voltage drop?
More details please.
I'd like to redo my terminals once I get a good Viper alarm and I'd like to go with a better-than-stock looking one that performs just as well.
I had always thought the mkIII was at about 53/47. :dunno:
I thought people had actually taken it to a scale and it was pretty darn close to that 53/47 number.
<<<< $280 for basic liability for the Turbo per yer.
I think the N/A is around 500/year but it has a few extras on it like medical and uninsured motorists and such.
I'm 21, but I have a sparkling clean driving record. :)
If I had a little bit more manufacturing know-how, I'd be on this like a horny college guy on drunk cheerleaders...
A basic square pipe with heat insulating wrap and a few bracket pieces added would do the trick. Or better yet, a piece dipped in some sort of heat insulation (not sure if that...
Ya, Best Buy stopped carrying Mitsubishi TV's for a while and I think it was due to some quality control issues.
The old cabinet big screens were Mitsu's market. Now it's all about Samsung, Toshiba and Sony for the DLP's.
Ordered a TRD today. :)
Currently I have the stock knob without any of the leather that originally wrapped it. :(
Can't wait to install the trd!!! With empera's boots and the new knob, my interior will look shiney and new. :D
Update: Goddamn, that was an easy fix. The bolts holding the two sections of the driveshaft had come loose. Two were hand-tight/loose and the other two weren't far from hand-tight. I tightened them and problem is completely solved. The lock washers must be worn out after 283,000 miles and 18...
Hi all, I'm trying to pick the brains of those more experienced than myself here.
I have an annoying and slowly worsening vibration in my '90 when cruising around 35-45 mph. Seems to go away beyond 50mph. It ONLY happens when I am NOT on the gas at all. When I give it any push on the...
x1000000!!!!
I work for Toyota and my EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT is about what Champion is, even with shipping. Next time you guys need a part, compare Champion with your local dealer prices. I bet you will be shocked to find a good 20% difference on most items.
Ya, I know what you mean. It can definitely lower your peripheral perception, but even with 15%, you can still see your surroundings unless it's night time, in which case you should really roll you windows down to drive off the highway if the tint is anything below 30%, IMO.
BRIEF THREAD...
He mentions nothing of the engine or turbo condition. I bet it's got rodknock, BHG and a blown turbo. :D
But shit, man. It has lambo doors and "fast n furious" decals so it's easily worth 9 grand. :sarcasm:
