First post updated. Car is up for sale and looks DAMN sexy. Stripped paint off the wheels and they look amazing. Excuse the non-cleaned tires/windows/interior. It still looks good! :P
PM if you want the car. Asking 4000 OBO, very flexible on price (especially for a supramania member) ;))
Although I love Denver, I'd have to say living within Denver in a decent part of town for under 600/month is pushing it. Great town, but unless he can live ~20 miles from downtown, forget it.
Like Pat's post, drop the subframe, drop the pan, bam you have access to your worn bearing. If the crank is toast you're screwed anyways though.
Best of luck. :)

Same part for any supra, whether its N/A, turbo, auto, manual, 89+ or pre-89. :)
Wow. Just wow. 3000 for that body kit?!?! 1000 for the "rims"?!?! Those look like 15's. "It's my pride and joy. It is an auto." lol.
Holy crap.
**oh, and just because I like to give domestic guys crap: There's a mustang in the last pic, too. Maybe that's the next "project" for this guy...
Lol, yes a lower cost of a barrel of oil will result in a lower gas price.
Now why is the cost of a barrel of oil going down?
Quick search through news articles says demand simply is less. Down ~5% from last year. Basic econ, as I recall says: Lower demand => lower cost.
Huh? Are you talking about the GTE here? If I'm not mistaken 250 crank HP is a stretch for an N/A without extensive work and 300 is just about unheard of, with rare exceptions.
Just trying to clarify so the OP doesn't get mixed messages here. :)
I think we have some confusion here. I realize that the chart is outdated and those classifications of oil are not available because they have been replaced by superior grades. No need to patronize me. Did I catch you on a bad day or something?
What I was after is why the they ever stopped...
Great basic info. I myself, was also wondering about a few of the items stated above.
If jdub doesn't mind my poking, I've got one to add:
Why does Toyota have this figure in the owner's manual for the mkIII?
Why are 10W30, 15W40 and 20W50 on this chart? Why does the chart...
Picked up an 89 turbo that hadn't run in 2 years for $1000. Spliced CPS wires back together, car started right up. fixed coolant leak all is well now.
Car had recaro seats which were just sold for $350, so car now cost me $650+30 for stock seat replacements. :)
680 bucks for a running 89...
