Very true. And given the very small price difference between new and used, we will likely be going for a new one with the next order we need to make to Champion.
Anybody have tips on draining gas? The gauge shows just above 1/4 tank left. :(
The valve cover gaskets can be tricky on the 7M. Mine are leaking badly now after 25k miles. You shouldn't have to put RTV all around, but rather just in the front on the corners.
Although I may have to try putting it all around if another set of gaskets start failing on me.
I use excel for everything, lol.
I have every record of my car in an excel speadsheet. It has dates, mileage, parts/labor performed and costs.
To date I have record of over $50,000 being spent on my 300k NA. :)
Going in from the side can be fun in the bedroom, but dont try it in the garage. :nono:
:naughty:
Seriously, come at it from the front and you'll make it infinitely easier...
I work for Best Buy and there is NO WAY IN HELL I'd pay half of what they charge to repair stuff.
They set the prices astronomically high and dont guarantee hardly any results.
I had an extra copy of windows up until a few months back. I would've just sent you it if you caught me in time...
I was quoted over $55 for it at my local dealer. It's $42 through Champion Toyota. Might just have to suck it up and order it.
Probably selling it in the spring, but we'll see. It was a good deal and it has potential so Cameron and I picked it up for a project to work on through the...
Cameron (cw_7mtge) and I just finished another night of small progress. I spent the most I've ever spent at a generic parts store before: 175 bucks!
Plugged in a good battery tonight and found that most the electrics seem to work. Windows roll up and down smoothly, headlights come up evenly...
I like how in the directions it says: Remove shift knob (it has 1 2 3 4 5 R on it).
As if a probe owner trying to modify their wiring doesn't know what a shift knob is. :aigo:
that thought is scary...
I'm using the XL-3 stuff and if I remember it was 8 bucks at least at my local dealer.
I used about two capfuls if I remember right, just about a 1/4 of the 4 oz bottle and I love my LSD. Not sure if it performs close to as well as a new one, but its a night and day difference between my open...
I'd love to do that to my needles with red. My gauge faces are about bright enough, but my needles are way too dim compared to stock.
I may have to get off my ass and do that sometime...
Some people really dont care for the tems set-up, but I like it. I'd say get some tokico illuminas (compatible with TEMS) and get some very mild springs (Whiteline comes to mind) and swaybars with some new poly bushings.
Of course just going with coilovers wouldn't be a bad route to take...
