I didn't hide the harness at all. It runs, exposed along the factory routing on the intake side and along the fender corner on the exhaust side. The part going over the engine and nearest the turbo have high heat, coated fiberglass sheathing to help protect it from the heat.

50 trim arrived today. Old Ct removed, softline prepped on new turbo. Good stuff.
Old:
I got 2 copper washers and 1 steel washer. :dunno: AND I got an extra AN-adapter fitting. I assume I just need to use one crush washer. I guess Aaron was just feeling generous, lol.
The old turbo has a...
Yikes, this is a scary read...
You need to take some time and money to do things correctly, especially with safety systems like your brakes.
NEVER go back to your "mechanic" if he simply suggested hammering your caliper free instead of replacement or at the very least a thorough rebuild.
You...
Very neat examples of what can cause various symptoms. Also good example that passing certain tests (ie compression) doesn't always mean all is well.
Thanks for sharing!

Agreed that nobody is answering the OP's question. Who gives a shit if the output isn't right for US-spec laws. THAT'S A SEPARATE ISSUE. All too many people use incorrect headlights, but that's not what this is about.
OP: I read your ad when it was up and it was perfectly fine. Hopefully you...
Mine gets burning hot. Never had a problem. A new relay may not get as hot, but it's certainly not unusual for them to be very warm.

If you really have no tools, I'd start there. I can remember when I had only very basic tools and it made most jobs much more painful than they need to be. I'd argue having the right tools is as important if not even more important than having experience.
Get a good set of tools, and buy the...
I've had similar experiences. I had an order way back where either he mis-shipped something or I plain fucked up. I probably lost it and it was probably 100% my fault, but he didn't care either way and shipped me a new part.
I recently placed a big order and will soon have a nice new 50 trim...
Interested to see it fully reassembled. I've got mixed feelings on the blocked out rear quarter window, but I think with the trim installed it'll pull it together nicely.
How are you planning ot adjust the brake bias to account for the change in brake torque on the front wheel swith these larger rotors and different sized calipers? That would be my biggest concern. You could end up with less brake fade, but worse overall stopping distance if you can't correctly...
OP: to answer your question, its purpose is to connect the air space in the block cavity with the rest of the pcv (positive crankcase ventilation) system in the valve covers which are then connected to the intake air stream.
Apparently I typed my first post in code. Sorry about that. Try this:
Noooooooo. It will NOT be plug and play. It WILLLLLLLL require LOOOOOTS of custom work. DO NOT BUY.
Step away from the bling parts and pick up an automotive basics textbook before you mod anything.
First off, THANK YOU for this thread. I've been toying with servicing this since I bought my car and the TSRM actually skips over a lot of the basics and I just couldn't get a handle on how to do some of this stuff. Seeing it laid out like this with parts and tools required helps a TON. :)
I'm...
