I know exactly what you mean. I don't miss my bhg, but I love working on the car in the garage with music. I'd be fine taking a vacation at home working on the Supra. Provided there's no deadline making me anxious its the most satisfying activity I've found.
Call me crazy but I probably enjoy...
I think he forgets what it's like to be a beginner or really anything but a "good" home mechanic.
There are plenty of dumb people and questions, but there are also plain old newbs who just need some guidance. Not everyone is a diagnostician around here and that's OK.
Part of the point of the...
That. Looks. Gorgeous! Nice job turning an eye sore into a gem. I'm sure you'll get the dash and other pieces figured out as well. I have the leatherseats.com covers in mind for when I finally get around to the interior.
It's great to know it doesn't take an artist to turn out solid results...
I think bronze is a great combo of flashy and attractive. Many a black supra have turned heads with some bronze wheels...
I finally reprogrammed my alarm to chirp when I lock it. Its the little things that really make a difference I tell ya.

If you're on AFM 3 and you still have a code 31.... Perhaps the problem is with the wiring back to the ecu. 31 generally signifies an open or a short.
Are you positive there are no shorts within the AFM or to ground on all the AFM wiring?

Just pop the cover off and check for oil. If you find any oil in the cover/housing its time to replace the inner seal and bearing.

That should definitely be step #1. Its easy to tell if the internal seal is bad though. There shouldn't be any oil inside the housing. If there is, it's time for the internal rebuild.

Without a drill press or something I'd be afraid to ruin the gear. I couldn't order the gear so I had to be super careful. My dealer told me it's been completely discontinued and can't be special ordered. I used my dremel drill press and spent a couple hours very carefully drilling the pin out...
I've recently had trouble starting. I have a code 12 and 34. Cps and afm. I have a cps rebuild kit ready to go but I may just buy a new one from Yota. :/

I'm feeling generous so here it goes.
Crazy: there is no wrong oil weight off the shelf that will give your engine 5 seconds of knocking.
Your problem is not the type of oil used.
Perhaps if you explain in detail how you set up your relocation we can help determine the root cause.
Or, you...
Oddly enough I just priced out those moldings too. Champion has similar pricing.
Grandavi, no clips but they're not expensive.

On this note, I think the location and orientation of the alternator connector was an afterthought by the design engineers. That connector is a huge pain and I always feel like I'm breaking the factory cables to get it on there. Hey, maybe I've been doing it wrong all these years. :dunno:
I was...
