ARGH! To those of you with solid shim spacers- help!

Well, I finally got it sealed up: Plus, I set a personal best record of replacing the differential, Jack-up to Jack-release in 1hour, 25 minutes. Yay me! Man! What a difference!!! I've had a mystery "clunking" in my rear end for over two years now. I really wasn't sure if it was rear...

Fuel pressure dropping when pressing throttle, whats going on...

I thought he said he replaced the fuel filter, and cleaned the tank? Did you do these things two years ago, or just recently? In any event, I would consider blowing out the feed line from the pump outlet to the fuel rail. See how strong the flow of compressed air is at the end of the fuel line.

    Front Control Arm Bushing Question

Energy suspension bushings are the least expensive option available if you're going aftermarket, and they're certainly cheaper as a set than oem.

Congrats on all your work. And I see ALOT of opinions and advice on "which way to go" with your build... 1JZ, 2JZGE..WTF? You're doing it right, dude. Get it running on the 7mge, and enjoy it! Then if you want to upgrade to a 7mgte later, you can build one up while you have a running car. I...

    Hose heat protection question

Firesleeve. Use what you will for the actual hose, then firesleeve it. It's what race teams and aircraft manufacturers use. I used it for the oil cooler lines on my MR2.

ARGH! To those of you with solid shim spacers- help!

Just to show what I've been doing: Installed a Weir Performance "maxgrip" kit, stage 1. Basically all it is, is a set of various spacer shims, and an additional "assist" spring, which mounts inside the original spring, to increase tension. The new breakaway torque should be around 100ft-lbs...

ARGH! To those of you with solid shim spacers- help!

Nevermind, guys- I found the problem: Old front pinion bearing, "new" front bearing... The new one is obviously the incorrect part(thanks, Rockauto), as it is at least 5mm too shallow.

ARGH! To those of you with solid shim spacers- help!

Hey guys- I'm trying to reassemble my spare diff, using a solid shim spacer. My problem is that while I'm trying to properly shim for preload on the pinion, it seems like the pinion flange(where the driveshaft bolts to) is bottoming out on the differential case! I don't understand how this...

Guys That repainted thier car: Window molding suggestions. replace, repaint?

I did notice one small problem from the newer style trim- When you spray the windshield with washer fluid and your windows are open, it's coming inside. The oem style's raised edge prevented this from happening to some extent. Not that this is a huge problem, of course.

Filling gouges in urethane- what to use?

Hey guys- I have some gouges in my header panel, as a result of sun damage. They look like someone pulled a comb through the top of the urethane, and made some ~1mm scratches in it. I was wondering- can a polyester bodyfiller be used, and would it stick, or do I have to worry about reaction...
