I don't think parts from ANY dealer are cheap...that's why 90% of people just go straight to autozone for parts, and if they don't have it, then the problem just doesn't get fixed.

Why not just polish them properly? I'm guessing that doesn't last very long and attracts dirt? And kyle, you have to CLEAN them before you put tire shine on lol...and you need to put A LOT on...and frequently.

Seems like diesels can run on just about anything...you can even run them on Wesson oil from costco! LOL...just don't drive it on public roads...there are some pretty hefty fines in place for not paying the road fuel tax. I have an 82 Mercedes 300CD turbo diesel that I have thought about...
