They do help. The chassis still flexes a bit. That's why many different types of bars are made for our cars. Toyota even designed the rear passenger area to have a bar going along the floor (tapped holes, with a perforation in the carpet for the bolt). Adam

I agree. Even if you repaint the car with the same color it is now, it will look a lot better if you do it right (ie wetsand, no orange peel). Factory paint sucks because they don't have the time to wetsand and make the paint flawless. Luckily, my gay blue 87 has a fresh coat of paint on it...
