    "GT61" Technology?

expecting 50K out of an after market turbo is VERY unrealistic unless its extremely over-engineered or barely used.

    opinion on turbo

You may want to consider driftmotions 60-1 in your case. I don't know exactly how it compares with the gt35 but its a reliable turbo with very quick spool, stick with a .68/.70 A/R whatever they offer and it will be very quick; im saying smaller AR because you said you're not really looking to...

    "GT61" Technology?

^How long a turbo lasts whether its 57trim or 60-1, its HEAVILY dependent on HOW you use it and abuse it. 3000 miles For GrimJack could be 10000 for another person, or 50 for yet another. Obviously there are tons of other factors but in all reality, its probably the biggest factor.

    "GT61" Technology?

Hmm, Blouch. I've heard very mixed things about them. Although they built their reputation on re building/upgrading turbos like the Ct26 back in the 80's-90's, ever since the son took over, supposedly the quality is crap because he wanted such a high turnover rate.

    opinion on turbo

What are your HP goals and what kind of spool time do you want and what is your primary purpose of this vehicle....ie DD, track only, drift...etc

    removing head with arp studs

My buddy left the engine in the car and just cut the little lip of the firewall that interfere's with getting the head off with ARP studs. Not the best way to do it but pretty easy and fast compared to pulling the motor

    ct26 max psi

^from what i've read 60trims are not a big problem, its the 60-1's and larger. They simply outflow the compressor housings.

    Hard Starting/Possible bhg

do a compression check, check the oil for coolant. A BHG shouldn't affect starting unless its really bad and very low compression all around. This engine can run on 4 cylinders, so keep that in mind. Its very possible you have a coolant leak you don't see, be sure to check for puddles under the...

    driftmotion turbos

this was covered in General topic section. Do not make more than 1 of the same thread. Mod, just close one off, preferably this one as the other has been responded to already

    driftmotion turbos

    ?? I think you're confused. Driftmotion makes a 60-1 Turbo, NOT to be confused with a 60-1 Ct-26. They do not offer a 57-1 which i think you're confusing a 57Trim ct-26 with a 57-1. 60-1 Turbo != 60trim turbo, 57-1 (not that i've ever seen one) != 57trim To the OP: i do not know much...

    Anyone running one of these?

ahh, now it all makes sense ;) That looks like a lot like the cooleze pipe. For that money you might as well get the cooleze pipe to be sure

Weak spark, have fuel, No DTCs, no start.

^IIRC, its the right output of the coil that has the weaker spark IE, spark 6,5,4. I have experimented with this on numerous turbo supras and always found the same thing. I never suggested you were 180, im trusting you followed the TSRM appropriately on that one. The CPS wires are a VERY...

Weak spark, have fuel, No DTCs, no start.

First off, nice post Second: My first thought was loose connection with CPS wires. Make sure they are all in excellent condition and full contact points are met As for the weak spark, attempt interchanging the spark plug wires from another cylinder and see if condition changes If...

    Boost variation in different climates

well i was driving in the same weather as you, last night....in the same area, I75. Given we both have Greddy Profec and are both experiencing the same problem, i find it odd yet comforting. Only difference is mine uses a Perrin boost solenoid as my Greddy burned up in the fire 8 months ago.
