100% right.
I await the prototype with baited breath! I want one.
It will be a hot item for sure.
How long till you put one together? Please post pics asap.
You'd think he'd feel it clunking around.
Every time I ever broke one you couldn't miss it, 'cause of the thud of the engine lifting up and down on the mount when you accelerate or decelerate.
I put one on my original hood and just couldn't live with the way it broke up the lines of the hood, so I got another hood painted it, and put it back to stock.
Didn't have it long enough to say whether it helped cool things down.
eehh...I'm shallow.
Your starter makes ground by it's contact with the block.
"Finger tight" aint gonna do it.
Before you do anything else:
You need to get back under there with a wrench, and find a way to tighten the bolts (not screws) on the starter.
It's tight in there, but with a little...
This is correct.

Put a new oil pump in your motor while it's out and run it with...
First of all it's really fucked up that this kid has to worry so much about some drunken punk ass motherfucker messing up his ride. WTF is wrong with people?

I'm looking to buy one in the next 6 to 12 months. I'd like to buy it cash. I hate car payments, but we'll see, (may have to finance) they aren't cheap or plentiful.
The starter problem may be unrelated. I found out (through trial and error) that Supras tend to have alot of voltage drop at the hot side of the starter over time. Check your voltage at the starter.
It's not just the U-joints, but the whole driveshaft that's less than...shall we say, sturdy.
I'm on my third. I've replaced the U's with HD units but I keep twisting the back half of the drive shaft.
I'd get a 1 piece unit, but I've ridden in cars with them, they are noisy and seem to...
Bottom line, you can't shoot in the dark on this and expect to find the problem unless you get incredibly lucky (doesn't usually happen).
Start with the basics, fuel, spark, compression. Go over every system from beginning to end or end to begining (ex. spark plugs ok then to spark plug...
