I hate to bring this up again; but I've re-read this a couple of times and I still don't see any reason why flow would be adversely affected by the velocity stacks protruding into the plenum chamber. Turbulence (at boost) around the stack should not be a problem because the plenum chamber is...
Block test it for exhaust gasses in the radiator. Something tells me this is a BHG or cracked head. I'd be surprised if there wasn't some coolant getting into the combustion chamber.
On a cheerful note, you'll have one piston that's real clean.
I've got 3 1/2" all the way back from the exhaust manifold, no resonator, no cat (well I have one, it's in a box in the garage), and a Tanabe muffler (sourced from another car of mine) and it's too fuckin" loud.
I get pulled over for noise on a routine basis, no tickets as of yet. But I'm...
Red to...any color, especially black is the worst, because anything that's still red sticks out worse than any other color.
I grew up around paint and body shops, I've seen this situation many times.
Unless you are doing a complete "frame off" restoration:
Don't do it, you'll regret it.
He probably figured it was so cold out that his car wasn't getting to operating temp and the thermostat wasn't opening, so if he took out the thermo, the water would get all the way through the system and into the heater core.
800 hp at rear wheels will put you in the high 8's w/ the right gearing trans etc.
Most 800 hp cars are dyno queens...which won't get you in the 8's.
My old A-altered (back in the day) used to run 8's with just injectors and no electronic's (granted it was lighter) and a lot less than...
Oil pump failed and then the clutches burned up in mine.
I noticed a rattling sound from underneath the car after a few passes at Irwindale raceway one wednesday night (grudge night). As I drove home the rattling got worse and I started to smell burnt ATF, which sucked cause I had just...
Try unscrewing the lower panel below the glovebox, and then unscrew the screws holding the hinge of the glovebox, and you should be able to wiggle it loose at the top.
If you don't need a roll bar then you definitely don't need racing harnesses.
Wait till you need to back up or reach in the back seat or anything else that requires you to turn your body toward the back...can't do it with a harness.
Unless your running exclusively on the track, forget...
I like it.
Except on the shitty looking stocker you can see through it and gauge exactly where your water level is at. I could probably rig up the coolant level sensor to it with a little work.
But it's way better looking and the price is right, but that shipping...:aigo: Ouch!
I used to run a production paint shop about 20 years ago, so I know.
Find out who the painter is and grease him with some extra $$$, it makes a big difference.
Trust me, I've seen the difference between a painter who's been given an "incentive" and one who's collecting hourly.
