Hell I just posted a question like this, and from my conversation with the tech engineer at Eagle their rods for the 7mgte will handle up to 1600 horse power. There use to be a rumor that their rod bolts suck, but they are now using arp2000 rod bolts. Soooo who's saying that the Eagle rods will...
I have heard good, and bad things about Eagle rods and I decided to call Eagle themselves to get a guage on the truth. I inquired to the sustainabilty and strenth of their rods and I was told by an Eagle tech that their rods for the 7mgte will handle up to 1600 horse power. Soooooooo...who can...
Hell I wish you could be here. We have more cars dragging at my meets than any other Supra meet there is right now. I will make this a hughe meet that everyone will come for to see all the Supras drag. We havea great group of draggers in the Northeast.
Check the schedule they gave me October also for my famous end of the year meet which has grown to 100 cars, and over 60 cars dragging.:naughty:

I personally don't believe in running loose clearances on the rods or main berings, but if you feel man enough to do it don't let me stop you. I belive the looser the clearance the less the oil pressure wll be I am getting higher oil pressure with tight clearnces. I usually find the more loose...

Just buy the clevites they are made by NDC. Clevite doesnt make berings for foreign cars. NDC makes the berings and clevite sells them in their own boxes. This means that clevite likes their prices and quality enough to put their name on them.
Yeah and I bet he had piss poor tuning and he had a machining or fucked installation problem. I have used kings berings for years with no issues. Also you guys kill me with the lack of knowledge you have on berings. If you are killling berings you probably had piss poor tuning, too high engine...
Check the rear seal or see if the oil pan is loose in the rear or some where along the sides. A loose oil pan and no cover and a moving car can cause this to have oil in the tranny. The valve cover screws may be loose as well.
