Sometimes I hate this site. This is my thread, and I haven't seen any of these replies on this page.
I have now verified that my new clutch is much better than the old. I didn't mean to, but traffic dictated that I had to get on it a little more than I wanted to. I pulled out in heavy traffic...
It was more a grey/black smoke. I saw it, and attributed it to blowing out the carbon more than anything.
As said, first amongst a group of MKIV's is gonna be a monstrous feat. It blew my mind that they actually acknowledged your car. It is so damn nice that they had to, but still shocking...

Chaz, Charley, Chuck, Chas (my son), are all nicknames of Charles. Would this maybe be him?
That was one nice Supra he had if so.
For those of you with reverse problems, try holding it like you want it to go in, and release the clutch slowly about halfway. Mine drops in every time.
^Most aftermarket kits use a reworked stock Pressure plate. So yes, it will look like a stock PP. All other info about it is in this thread. It is safe to say that the XTD is at best a misrepresented clutch kit.
I can't remember who bought mine, but I have never heard anything negative about it...
I'm still on a re-torqued stock gasket as well. It will be the weak link in my car. If ever I get all the power out of my motor that it's built for, we will see how much it will hold. I'm hoping to be near 400+/-. I'll leave it stock for that week , or however long it holds. The new clutch and...
I'll give you my neck! It's only got 4 bulging discs. I just got my file copies to take with me to another doctor he referred me to. On paper, it's a lot worse that what he explained to me.
Great pics!
I just can't wait for the day that we can see pics of all cars at once. Shall we say a desegregation amongst car lovers. I want to see an 89 Supra sitting right beside the 69 Camaro that is his little bitch.
I've been waiting for the answer to this for almost as long as you have Jay. But I'm gonna be pissed if you fix it right after I left your house. I believe you would have taken that green MKIV if he hadn't done a ricer start on you, and you could have stayed in it.
***EDIT*** Huxracing is 215...
Enough green in that picture to make it look 7M. Good thing it's all in the correct places.
Thanks for the link Jay. I haven't looked yet, but going there now. Is that the 2 MR2's that are featured in the latest street&tuner magazine I picked up last week? I haven't read the story yet, but...
I gotta get out of this thread.........the blue is just getting too much to handle. I used to be able to handle Jay/Kwnate, but I never thought my best buddy would sell out on me too. Now that all 3 of you are here, it's starting to hurt my eyes.
