Nope its been 30k since the engine was reborn. I do believe the block and head have a total of 250k on them. I know both were precision ground (not machined) flat when rebuilt and I know both of them were x-rayed and magnafluxed before assembly.

Ian: I knew that the irridium was quite brittle stuff, just didn't know you could gap those plugs.

IMHO I don't think you can. I think the irridium supposedly makes up for having the large gap. I dunno.... always felt they were a waste of JDM money.

Thanks Jake. Yes I sell a rebuild kit for the trans. The only weak link is the front thrust washer. Many people have had great success having a new stock toyota washer being cryo treated and holding lots of hp.

Just FYI... the f-1 car teams of the mid 80's ran 90% toluene. This yielded 1400-1600bhp at 45psi of boost.... ALL OUT OF 90 CUBIC INCH V8'S.

ISC you can't really get rid of unless again you manually increase the idle or run a standalone ecu (iirc). The dash pot - The only thing that you will notice is an occasional stall of the engine (or so it has been for me.)

Im just going to jump in here.... If the stock bov is broken, the car will still build boost, it will just be slow. This is due to the fact that the stock bov is re-routed back into the intake of the turbo making a closed loop system. Now if the car seems slow (even slower than an NA car)...
