you and me both....
actually, compressor surge hurts the COMPRESSOR....not the turbine. compressor = cold, turbine = hot.
eh, it's an entirely different story for auto tranmissioned cars. they really don't need a BOV as the throttle plate rarely closes under + pressure. yes, lower boost...
the power metal sunroof (the only OEM sunroof) was only offered in '91 + '92. considering there were only 3623 and 1193 TOTAL sold in each year respectively, i'd say it's fairly rare.
i'm going to have to disagree.....you need to look @ the whole picture- lighter wheels, better aerodynamics, better efficiency, cooler charge temps, etc. it all adds up to a far better turbocharger....
the c's is a true short shifter.
the problem is that the R154 does NOT like true short shifters. all it did was make me miss shifts when it mattered (i.e. drag strip, etc.).
there really isn't a comparison- the newer tech stuff has HUGE gains in efficiency. this translates into less heat, faster spool, greater range of use and of course, more power. yeah the old stuff works, but if you can swing the $$ you won't be disappointed.
