UPDATE: You don't necessarily have to get that specific laser casing, I wont know for sure but I think one out of a cheap key chain laser pointer will work as well. I picked one up for something like four dollars at Office Max. My DVD burner randomly had two diodes, but it is an 18x so maybe...
