I honestly dont' know what does or doesn't cause it.
I know my old car didn't do it. The only thing from stock that it had was 0 compression drag shocks in the back.

Its wrong if:
-You see any thing leaner than 12.5 under boost @ any throttle %
-You see any thing richer than 14.2~14.5 at any throttle % >1% at 0 vacuum or below (no boost)
If you're simply wanting to put your car back on the road, heres what you need:
-Stock head gasket
-ARP bolt lube or any MPZ, high temp high load dark grease.
-Sanding block
-Straight edge
-About 10 pairs of foam ear plugs with the cords attached
-Paper towels
-200 grit, 500 grit, and...

To get the car running, run the vacuum off the back of the intake to the FRP.
Word of caution though, the FPU-VSV is there for a reason. On hot starts, it increases the fuel pressure so the engine can start.
