It's not tint like you would use on your windows. It's basically spray paint.
Only way I can see it coming off is more aggressive sanding but you'll have to buff them once you are done.
Three more months?! I guess it is betten then you driving it in winter again lol.
What is left to do? Install the trans, fab up the ic pipes and heat sheild, get the ecu installed then tuned. Anything else?
Alright, I made the changes I needed to.
I also made the mounting hole 5mm diameter so it can be tapped for a M6-1.00 bolt (same bolt ford uses). If you want to mount the coil under the bracket all you need to do is drill this hole out to 1/4" and use a nut and bolt to secure it but, you will...
I've been following along but was out of town. I'm back now and picked up a spare coil to make sure everything fits properly. Good thing I did too..
Might be hard to see but the mounting hole doesn't line up (this is why I wanted to make a test piece).
Also, I want to make sure Morganson...
Hey look who showed up. Can't wait to see the mods you have planned for the winter.
Hope to actually see this car in person at some point. Funny enough I'm actually in Calgary this week.
A local guy is looking to run 18x9.5 +12 with 225/40/18's in the front and 18x10.5 +12 with 245/40/18's in the rear.
Will this fit? From looking at other setups I think the front will work with rolled fenders but I'm not sure about the rears. They seem like they are going to stick out at least 1/2".
$0
It is only a plastic template to make sure they fit properly. They can make the actual part but will make me pay for the router bit (it's a plastic company and they don't want to ruin the bits on aluminum). Also, shipping might be expensive for you folks in the states.
Took long enough. My old shop finally got this done after they forced me to eat and drink with them..
Now I just need to find the old coil out of my truck and test fit it. A 2000 F150 coil is the same, right?
Personally I wouldn't DD a Supra without having a back up car. And I have a hard time believing it was owned by "a little old lay" when the car is lowered with purple powder coated parts.
If you do end up looking at this, take it in for a pre purchase inspection and pay extra to have a...
Are you using the stock or aftermarket boost gauge?
This could be an issue with the wastegate but I would sooner be looking at the intercooler piping because of your little incident with the driveway. Try pressure testing it and see if you can hear any leaks.
Aesthetically the stock coils have always been a sore spot for me. The IS300 coils are a nice alternative but I feel this setup has a classic look about it.
That being said, I'm looking forward to Grim's compairison. I want to make sure they are going to work properly even though they will be...
I didn't forget about this. I was hoping to have the test piece made before giving you these last dimensions.
Unfortunately my old shop has been super busy (thought I would have this thing in a couple days not weeks) but they said they would run it by Monday at the latest.
Until then, here...
