    1/4 Mile Vs Hp

Fox body Mustang production ran from 79-04. They werent 1000 lbs lighter. Although a low option 5 litre LX was just about 2900 out the door. My 91 GT with me in it weighed 3395 at 5800 ft. I weigh 230. That is a huge advantage. So is the factory solid axle and 4 link suspension. While the...

    code 52

There are a few variables. Running rich dilutes the motor oil. If you dont change it enough, then yes. Most rodknock is a spun bearing. A spun bearing is usually contamination that sticks to the crankshaft and causes the tab to break off as the crank pulls the bearing. Which book? Toyota's...

    Na cam dyno

Nothing new there. Less duration and lift will promote spool on a small turbo like the CT26, but eventually choke it off. I didnt realize the GE cam, from what ever was tested, had less duration. I know the lift is lower, as the repair manual lists a spec. I certainly wouldnt install a used...

    Blocking Egr

When you start reading things like car magazines, especially the import ones, there is a lot of bullshit, misinformation out there. The internet seems to be a better source for those wanting to read, but not buy a text book. A college store, if they let you buy one, will have all of this info in...

    code 52

?? How about the wave form generated by the sensor. That will retard the timing. No signal, no retarding from code 52, which was what the question was, I think. Seems like there is DTC for knock with out retarding, not sure when that started. Of course spark is controlled by many factors...

    WHat exactly causes fuel cut?

That is a damn good answer.

    Fog Lights

The control side of the relay is powered by the headlights. The switch provides a ground path for the control side. The operation side of the relay is fused power.

    code 52

I dont have Toyota engine control system manuals here, but I dont think their ECU will retard with out the correct signal. And yes, it is a closed loop ignition system.

    Blocking Egr

EGR is going the way of the do-do on new cars, if not completely gone. Variable cam timing has the same effect. Overlap reduces NOx. In old ass high performance cams with a lumpy cam, the lumpyness is from having both intake and exhaust valves overlap for a longer time. This greatly improves...

While have no info regarding prices of the products you mentioned, I do have pictures of my gauges.

    code 52

It doesnt do anything. That code is letting you know the ECU isnt recieving any signal from the knock sensor. It is from an electrical problem in the wiring, but it could also be a dead sensor.

    code 34

Over boost correction is fuel cut.
  15. Nick M

    Blocking Egr

That is exactly right. Putting spent exhaust gas in the intake displaces some oxygen resulting in slightly less cylinder pressure and a resultant reduction in NOx. That is what the design is. With less cylinder pressure, you can cheat on octane rating to a point.

    code 34

You should notice overboost correction. With a large turbocharger like that, you could easily have hit is one or two psi early. Compared to a CT26 anyway. If you dont have a driveability problem, I would ignore it and clear the code.

    Slow as Hell!

If the engine seems to run ok, but bad with a load, you could have an engine problem. Anyway, inside the torque converter is a one way clutch. When it goes bad, it will slip either direction. When that happens you have no torque multiplication. Your car will be very sluggish, but seem to be...

    Tranny Help

Open it back up. The shafts as you probably noticed have an interlock built into them. It prevents being in two gears at once. That is about the only thing that will keep the shifter from moving if everything else is good.

    Help Please...

See what the DTC is and that will be your starting point. The DTC is diagnostic trouble code. The check engine light illuminates where there is a hard fault in the system.

    Help! No Fogs!

Make sure you still have your power and ground source for the control side of the relay. A test light on both sides of the fog light switch will tell you if the switch works. So will an ohm meter.
