You can ID a California car by a temp sensor in the exhaust area monitoring EGR flow.
Don't remove the "smog" equipment. It does not cost you any power. If you have a track car, that is different. Even the EPA will allow it if you never drive on a public road again.
I assume you aren't at 18 psi at every stop light either.
It isn't luck. It is a well designed setup that is made for abuse. Becuase a lot of kids have managed to destroy these cars isn't a "design flaw".
I myself with stock applications have never had the following issues.
No code 52...
Bad plugs can certainly make it run rough. But you are the only one that has seen how bad it is. Does it start hard? Does it smoke when starting? Is the exhaust leak fixed? You should be able to tell by the noise. A leaking exhaust manifold will make your mixture richer, and after time, foul the...
Sounds like the instrument cluster is short or grounded. I will look at the online EWD. You can too. It is unfortunately an 89, but there probably isn't much of a difference.
Are you implying that you are using a 91 harness in a different year car? The 89 has common power and individual...
You could have a bad connection between the meter and the ECU. It seems to be a fairly common thing reading these posts.
That or there is a lot of over oiling the K&N style filters.
To add to what jdub is saying, don't confuse your mostly stock setups and requirements with what adjuster and IJ need.
Pull your dipstick once a week and look at it. It isn't that hard.
I agree with the assesment on the powertrain. However, not on the car itself. The new edge 199-2004 Cobra as a vehicle is more like the MA70 Supra. Heavy and filled with luxury.
500 rear wheel horsepower on 9 psi. Not too shabby, even for a Ford. ;)
Aaron, I myself get offensive with people that destroy our limited resource. But as for this individual, I guess I can't blame. He spent the money where somebody assured him it was being done right.
Most older Honda's don't have one, so you don't need it.
It can go in the pile of VSV's, charcoal canister, EGR valve, you know, all shit you don't need.
When you drop a head and block off at a machine shop, it is devoid of all studs and components like it. It is unproffessional of a tech to think the machinist needs to do his job.
