As pointed out by you and others, you absolutely want to evacuate your crankcase. This is why all cars come with it. I am just glad you all want to do so, rather than just 86 it, like the other "emission devices", of which PCV actually increases engine life by reducing sludge.

I can't say I ever had to pull the gauge out. Or drill on a customers combination meter or circuit board. Have you checked the EWD or repair manual diagnostics to see how high the dimmer is supposed go?
Is the impeller still on the shaft? Is the radiator look ok on the inside? Is there dirt on the outside, between the intercooler and radiator? Does it flow good, even though it looks ok on the inside?
You must look at how it operates(the cooling system) to decide what is wrong.

I saw one at SILV, he used the HKS SSBV, or whatever the alphabet acronym is, and it looked alright. All he did was turn it down, and had a short piece connect, like 2".

14 means the ECU isn't seeing that the coil fired. That is definitely a problem.
Just to be sure, you have no resistance, or infinite? No resistance will show a 0 on...
