    The sweet spot is about 15-16 for that compressor. It will go higher with lower effeciency.

    You should not be approaching detonation, even on pump gas. Get a bigger engine or bigger injectors.

    Yep. You are not loading the engine as much with the lower gearing. As long as you aren't on the loud pedal as hard and the rpm isn't held up real high for long stretches, city milage goes up. Mine went up when I went from the 3.08 to a 3.73 in my 5.0

    Lower. The BTU content is lower. Which is why e85 makes less power unless you run more of it and an agressive tune. And it costs a lot more. It uses a large amount of HC's to produce it, which you pay for with your taxes. It costs more, not less. Your taxes paid the percieved difference in price.

    Great idea in theory. The cubic inches would really wake up the car in normal driving. The problem is the external dimensions are probably pretty large. The 1UZ is much more compact (and smaller cubes). The LS1 is also compact and powerful.

    I prefer rolling into boost with cruise when climbing a hill over a down shift. Leaving in normal and not sport really limits the downshifts on hills.

    Mid 400's is over 500 bhp as you know. Seems like you are at the limit on 550's. Maybe a bigger injector will solve that problem. I can't see how you have a knock problem where others didn't. I view the water and meth as a band aid, unless the car is a trailered drag racer. *following thread*

    My Ford Mustang GT circa 1990 had the hot option 3.08. 80 mph just clipped 2000 rpm with the BW T5 trans.

    I can tell you my Boss Jr (57 trim T04E) had a torque peak about 4700 rpm. I know that isn't the point of your thread. Why use meth? What kind of power are you shooting for, and is your gas that bad?

    Richmond used to make a full set of Toyota gears. For the truck, and ours is the same size. Unless my memory is failing what was an unimportant point to me.

    If the meter is small, the signal will be faster making the engine think more air is entering the engine. Clamping just means you set how fast the Hz signal is.

    I don't remember seeing a hole. Then again, new seals are put on a head that has been rebuilt, there wouldn't be any obstructions, especially any type of FIPG as it doesn't go there. If there isn't a drain, then the cam is damage or he is putting it in wrong.

    You want to make sure the heater valve for the coolant is opening when it is supposed to open. Also, when the coolant is cold, the control unit will not open the heater valve.

    I have 3.73 rear and the A340E trans wuith its .70 O/D. By comparison the W58 has .78 5th and the R154 is .75 5th.. So 70 is only about 2500 rpm. Ever hear of fuel trim? I can explain it if needed. And lean cruise. My car is tuned....by Toyota. I also have the Lex meter and 550's. Anyway the...
