    Bad radiator cap?

It will only fail one way, which is losing the seal and resulting pressure. That would push the coolant into the overflow more than normal, and it wouldn't pull back in when cooling.

I wasn't even thinking about 2200 rpm. You probably have a leak between the air flow meter and throttle body. Don't buy a new air flow meter. Until you test it and the circuit for that 24.

    busted A340?

Maybe it is just the last time you try something you don't know how to do. You don't do surgery on knees on the side do you?

    7MGTE fan clutch

Is this what you don't understand? If you touch very briefly a hot pan on a stove, versus holing your hand on the hot pan for a time, which way transfers more heat? And aluminum does not transfer heat as well as copper/brass. Aluminum is to meet cafe standards only. Or weight reduction in a...

Already answered. Rest pressure is fuel pressure when not running.

Toyota retails it for nearly $1000.00. $60 is a great deal.

The Lex Meter with 550's is probably the lowest cost away around it. Not the best, just the lowest cost and easiest.

    busted A340?

It is better to fill it before. You don't fill it all the way. I don't think the torque converter is installed correctly. Just a guess, I can't see the car from here. Or he has no fluid on the dipstick.

34 is abnormal turborcharger pressure. When the fuel cut happens, this comes with it. The T4 compressor wheel is the source. Now you have to work your way around it.

    Should I pull the trigger?

It is identical to the All-Trac including the electronics. The only common fault on the Supra is the kids that own old cars thinking something lasts forever, or the car doesn't need it. That and headbolt torque should be higher than 58 lb/ft as listed in the book. I have never seen a faulty...

    PCV system questions

The system pulls the combustion by product out so sludge and other nasty things don't happen. It (PCV) has nothing to do with pressure.

Replace the 57 trim with stock, that gets rid of the 34. Test the thermistor circuit for 24. And since the ground is shared E2, (clean ground), that leaves two choices for you. And one of them isn't the ECM.

    Should I pull the trigger?

It is very unlikely the vane airflow meter has an intermitent short circuit on the wiper. 5MT?

Best way to purge air out of cooling system? thanks

http://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/PTK70888/DELUXE-COOLING-SYSTEM-PRESSURE-TESTER/ Don't use it hot or while running. Just pump it up to 18 psi. The leaks become much more obvious. You don't have to get the deluxe set. You just need the ND adapter.

Best way to purge air out of cooling system? thanks

If you keep purging, then a few days later get the water sound behind the dash, you have a small leak somewhere. And that doesn't mean BHG, it just means air is going in where the coolant is going out.
